At least I have time to watch season two of Grey's Anatomy now

I've been out of commission for two days... the chiro said I slipped the disc out of alightment because my hips are crooked a then I developped scoliosis. The muscles in my scapula are hyper mobile as is my back, while the hips are tight and therefore, something had to give. He gave me an adjustment yesterday so it is feeling better, still debilitating though. I can't pull anything, or lift anything unless my arm is straight down by my side. I have stayed home from work cause I am trying to get this thing before it gets worse. If it got any worse, I wouldn't be able to get out of bed at all. I HATE THIS!!!! I feel like a fat lazy slob. Too bad I can't do anything to help. I am going to get a scan on my back in a few minutes, to see what the problem really comes from, yesterday I was too swollen to get the scan. Tomorrow he's going to give me another adjustment. Man, I should have been a chiropracticter, they RAKE IN THE DOUGH.
Ah, no, I like being a teacher, and being poor. Well, the first is true.

I just majorly screwed up my upper back. Scoliosis fucking sucks and now I can hardly breath. And it wasn't green onions, my lips are back into Ebolla phase.

This is just great.

No more sausage lips

I am allergic to green onions, that is what was making my mouth weird. Going back to normal, almost there but lips are cracked from healing, it is always something with me.

Sooooo, on the exciting front, I am getting a massage in an hour. My scoliosis has been KILLING me and it is time to get some attention.

Winter is coming soon, I'm wearing a sweat shirt. It is really grey this afternoon and the wind is cold. Maybe I am just woos. How do you spell woos? Woss? no, hmmm.

Does anyone know of a place near the beach in Carlsbad, under 1400, allowing dogs? Want a place of our own.

In Meg style I am going to do a list

1. Coolest things- my ipod, my bro emailing me and calling me much more, Cava (Spanish bubbly)
2. Weird food cravings of late- Saltines, been wanting to eat just saltines
3. Funniest students- EQ, JC, and JY telling me how much they love me everyday- they def. all want an A
4. Most annoying thing- not being paid
5. Best yoga classes- did 54 sun sals on Thursday for equinox, it was so invigorating
6. Best putter of head on knee- Lander
7. Random fact- I am not having any alcohol except for a little on the weekends. Good habit.
8. Time that I have to get up which is way too early- 5:40.

Allergies? Or Ebolla?

My lips are puffy and red and have been for several weeks. I look like I have been drinking Kool-Aid and believe me, I haven't been. Could it be green onions? I am not allergic to onions in general, but I've been eating them more lately and I've been trying to figure out what it could be and that is the only thing that I can think of.

My classroom is a moldy mo-fo, as is my house. I get headaches everyday now and my eyesight is whack. It might be the fluoro lights, which f-in suck butt. I'm actually kinda freaking out, I am not a hypocondriac either. Just stuff is weird. Things are tasting weird in the mornings too.

Anyone have any ideas? Meg? Susan? My students are telling me... you look tired! Your eyes are puffy. I'm not feeling all that stressed about my incredible work load either, so it isn't stress. And the deal is that I have been sleeping a lot, I think it is something going on internally. Maybe it's Ebolla and my lips are going to rot off like a chewer. Ewwwww.

efficiency

I've gotten a ton of stuff done today, such a great feeling. Let's see if I can continue to be productive throughout the rest of the day. Sometimes I get bursts of productivity, and then I'm over it and on the couch eating ak mak crackers.

So far today I've...
Done led second series
laundry
Got my car washed
Went to Rite Aid, Trader Joe's, and Jimbo's
Done four assignments
Written emails
Vacuumed
Loaded 8 cds to my Ipod

Alright, go Liz!! She's on a roll!!! But now I'm tired, so out come the ak maks.

Thoughts, in no semblance of order

At night I am pretty much mentally spent. I can't really extend too much more brain power so I'm just going to record some of the stuff going on these days.

I GOT AN IPOD!!! Yippee! Thanks ma for the early (very early) xmas gift! I am going to use it in class on Thursday. We are going to talk about monsters! I am going to play some Jaws music to introduce the idea.

I did yoga on my own today. Was sore and tight, but glad I was there. I have been really pushing it with school, I bet I walk 3 miles per day, just in the classroom. Teachers are very active, or atleast ones that are trying to be good at teaching. So it is great to not be behind a desk. Speaking of that, I saw my old boss today, for whom I used to sit behind a desk and do stupid crap. SOOOOO glad I am not in that mental/physical headspace anymore. I am glad I didn't have to talk to him, he kinda bugs.

We won big tonight in softball!!

My scoliosis is really bad and I need a massage. I wish I could afford getting them regularly, or at all. It hurts when I do any leg behind the head stuff.

I've been getting headaches. I think I drink too much coffee, but it is decaf. Oh well, gotta have some liquid pleasures in life.

Little mind left

I've got through my first two weeks of student teaching relatively unscathed. I have 4 classes of 40 Seniors. English Lit. I love these kids. As long as I keep firm control of the classroom, things go well. I only have one kid that is really trying to push my buttons- I think I will just try to have a little private talk with him. Either that, or give him the backhand. Hey, he's probably 18 so I probably wouldn't get too much flack!

The classroom is so diverse! Kids from every ethnic background- Samoan, Black, Hispanic, white, German foreign exchange students, white kids, Asians, Indian. The are usually only a few white kids. I like this diversity as Encinitas is white and rich, yoga is elite too. Anyway, it feels good to be around kids that are forging their way through, not getting the easy ticket.

I got my legs into lotus in karanda vasana on monday. Coolio. I wish I could have gone to the Willie Nelson show. BUT- i can't do anything now. Not getting paid while still working sucks. The life of a student teacher. I think I should be able to walk straight into a job though second semester.

I was so tired last weekend after my first week of teaching, I was pretty much jello. I am feeling pretty good today though.
